Brandon D. Hurst, son of Founder Jim V. Martin, is originally from Dothan, AL and has been with Martin Environmental Services, Inc. since 2009. He is a Veteran and Non-Commissioned Officer of the U.S. Army with the 101st Division (AASLT) 2 – 502 Infantry Regiment.Along with his Military experience and training, he attended Troy University’s Sorrell College of Business, majoring in Business Administration. Brandon has served in multiple roles within the company, and currently the President and CEO.

Douglas Smith has over 30 years experience in the waste and recycling industry. Starting his career as a driver, he has been an Operations Manager, Project Manager, Area Manager, and currently the Director of Operations for our company. Doug previously worked for our company as a driver and eventually operations manager until 2010. He most recently worked for Zero Waste Solutions where he managed Federal contracts on the Eastern half of the United States. His competencies include Integrated Solid Waste and Recycling Management, Roll-Off, and Front-Load Container Sales, Truck Driving, National Account Management, and Government Contracting.

Alexis Clements has been with our company since 2019. She was hired as a dispatch and customer service representative. Alexis had significant experience in customer service management before joining our company, which allowed her to transition quickly into her new role. In 2021, Alexis was promoted to the Office Manager at our Dothan, AL location where she has built a team that is focused on helping our people be successful and serving our customer. In September of 2022 she will be transitioning into the role of Director of Administration, where she will lead the company’s different divisions administrative initiative.

Shannon Meuleman has been with our company since early 2018. He originally started as an account manager covering the Wiregrass region. Shannon quickly adapted to our quickly-growing company, making long-lasting relationships with business owners, community leaders, and municipalities. Shannon’s influence in the region is directly related to our company’s success over the last several years. In September of 2022 Shannon will be transitioning into the role of Director of Sales, where he will lead the Area Account Managers, municipalities, VIP customers, and national accounts.
